The anatomy of melancholy

She's spread accross the bed in a tangled mess of limbs and strands of hair. Vulnerable, delicate like a broken bird. I can see her wings flutter when she sighs and mutters phrases belonging to a dream I'm no part of. Don't believe me when I say there were only words, only beads attached to eachother, the cheapest bracelet I could give you. These are the diamonds trickling down your skin, this is blaring silence in the midst of the night.

The urban soundtrack of a metropole drones in the background while I ponder, dropping ashes to the pavement, blowing wishes with every exhale.

The reflections are beautiful. Both the written ones and the ones in the first photo.

That was truly beautiful and in my current state of mind, nothing speaks more to me than what you have just written.

This line in particular...

"These are the diamonds trickling down your skin, this is blaring silence in the midst of the night."

It's like you have looked inside my mind.

Oh, this is utterly bewitching. Perfect, perfect. The pictures and words mesh together perfectly, trailing glitter through my heart. The anatomy of melancholy- beautiful, haunting.
I have so much love for this. Wish I could explain. xx
